Degrees and Certifications:
Ms. Tasha Grantham
My name is Tasha Grantham and I've been teaching here at Claxton High School for many years. I am originally from Lumber City, Georgia and moved to work in Claxton. I graduated from South Georgia College (now South Georgia State College) with an associate degree in education, then transferred to Georgia Southern University to finish my bachelor’s degree in education. I also completed a Masters degree in psychology and counseling at Georgia Southern University a few years later. As part of my teaching of Family and Consumer Sciences, I am ServSafe certified as well as CPR/First Aid certified. These certifications help me teach the two CTAE pathways of Nutrition/Food Science and Early Childhood Education. I am also the advisor of the student organization, FCCLA (Family, Career, & Community Leaders of America) that helps students develop leadership skills. In addition, I have served as cheerleading coach in the past along with other leadership committees. I have had the honor of being Teacher of the Year in 2015, as well as WTOC Top Teacher in 2016. I have one daughter that graduated from Claxton High School and she currently attends STC/Nursing Program. I am always excited to work with our high school students each year and watch them develop into industrious young adults.
