School Counseling Page

Claxton Elementary School is served by two school counselors.  They implement a comprehensive school counseling program designed to promote and support student success in academics, college/career readiness, and social-emotional development.

Claxton Elementary School offers short-term individual counseling, group counseling, and advisement to students for added school success. Our school counselors are part of a school support team who provide essential social-emotional support in addition to academic support.

School Counseling Informed Consent forms are linked here. English and Spanish (Please note that school-wide and classroom support provided by counselors are not a part of the informed consent form.)

CES school counselors also serve as 504 and RTI Attendance Coordinators. In addition, they serve as school liaisons with community agencies and work closely with parents and teachers to meet the individualized needs of students.

Parents are encouraged to contact their child's school counselor with any questions or concerns.
