July 22, 2025: Evans County Charter School System (ECCSS) is pleased to announce that Mr. Ryan Tomblin has been selected to serve as the district athletic director for the upcoming 2025–2026 school year, effective immediately. In addition to these duties, Mr. Tomblin will serve as a teacher at Claxton Middle School (CMS) and Claxton High School.
Mr. Tomblin brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to student-athletes, having most recently served as the Athletic Director at CMS. Additionally, Mr. Tomblin has served as the head coach and assistant coach in many sports, both at the middle and high school levels, during his time in Evans County. His leadership has been marked by a strong sense of purpose, community engagement, and a passion for Tiger pride in athletics.
To support the work of the district athletic director, Mrs. Lauren Rustin will serve as administrative assistant to athletics.
“Mr. Tomblin has done an incredible job leading Claxton Middle School athletics with excellence and heart,” said Mrs. Angie Snyder, Principal of Claxton Middle School. “His strong organizational skills, exceptional people skills, and unwavering dedication to our community have made a lasting impact here, and I have no doubt those same qualities will drive his success as the new ECCSS Athletic Director.”
Dr. Bradley Anderson, Interim Superintendent of ECCSS, added, “I am confident Mr. Tomblin will help build on our athletic tradition and inspire our athletes both on and off the field.”
