The Evans County Charter School System is actively investigating events related to the Claxton High School Black History Program. As of today, no factual evidence has been discovered or produced related to threats of violence against students or staff. If you have any factual, primary evidence, please provide it to the CHS administration or law enforcement.
Monday will be a normal day of school operations for the district. As a precautionary measure, additional law enforcement and administrative personnel will be on site.
We remind everyone that our primary purpose is a safe and conducive learning environment for our students, and our focus is college and career readiness. Any party that seeks to disrupt school operations will be subject to disciplinary action and potential legal consequences.
