CMS students who have worked hard in class and have completed all assignments are learning that hard work pays off. Students are now able to come to the media center and play Virtual Reality games. Students have the option of a music game (Beat Saber), a fishing game, or the chance to design and ride their own rollercoaster.

CHS & CMS students are collaborating to write articles for the Claxton Enterprise. CHS freshman Journalism student Tyaunnah B. and CMS 8th graders Breanna S. and Felicia M. worked together to write an article about a recent CMS girls basketball game. #Collaboration #Communication
On Monday, December 5th, CMS and CHS chorus students traveled to Savannah with chorus teacher, Mr. Burney, to sing a collection of Christmas songs at the Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport. After they sang, they enjoyed lunch at Carey Hilliard's.

The Periodic Party was a success!! 8th grade Physical Science students communicated their learning about the periodic table and how elements can bond together to create something new. For the party, student teams demonstrated their learning and creativity by making a tasty dessert and writing an original recipe. Thank you to all guests who were able to come and hear from our amazing CMS students!

CMS and CHS will hold their annual Christmas Concert for band and chorus students on December 13th, at 5:30 p.m., in the CHS gym. Please join us and support our students as they display their hard work and talent!

3rd graders reviewed nonfiction text features by pretending to be surgeons! Students wore scrub caps and performed “surgery” by identifying and cutting out different text features in nonfiction articles. Students then discussed how the text features helped them understand the text. #CES #ExcellenceLeadershipFamily
CMS celebrated the 12 Days of Christmas today (Tuesday) with ugly sweaters. Today's theme was "May your sweater be ugly and bright."

Ms. McDaniel's 3rd grade class collaborating with their classmates to create their own fact families. The students had to roll a dice twice to come up with their factors and from there create their fact families. They had a blast working together! #CES #ExcellenceLeadershipFamily




Each middle school teacher will select one student who exemplifies high personal character. These students will be invited to attend the middle school game free of charge and will be recognized during half time of the boys game.
