🍿📚Literacy is popping in Mrs. Williamson’s ELA classes. 📚🍿
🎉In celebration of finishing up Unit 1 on Expository Texts, Mrs. Williamson’s classes worked on their reading stamina by completing a mini-read activity on “The Science of Popcorn,” where students read about what makes popcorn pop. 🍿
Students practiced identifying key facts and details from a text and then put the steps of how popcorn pops in the correct order. Once they completed the activity, they were treated to some popcorn of their own! Students enjoyed their snack while continuing work on their daily assignments. A fun—and tasty—way to practice reading comprehension skills! 📚🍿
