🏃‍♀️✨ Claxton Girls Crushed the 5K! ✨🏃‍♀️ This past Saturday, April 19th, our Claxton Girls Running Team proudly represented at the 5K Freedom Run at Georgia Southern University — and they did an amazing job! 🎉👏 We’re so proud of Mairveh Bardak, Kamden Richardson, and Amina Robinson for their hard work, determination, and for crossing that finish line with strength and spirit! 💪💛🖤 Thank you to coaches Leslie Baxter and Kayleigh Hunter for their dedication and leadership, and to Principal Julie Howard for always supporting our students every step of the way. 📚🏈 A Special Visit from Malcolm Mitchell! 🏈📚 On Thursday, April 17th, CMS students had the incredible opportunity to meet Malcolm Mitchell — former UGA and New England Patriot football star and now a professional author! 🙌 This inspiring visit came after our students participated in the Malcolm Mitchell Read Bowl, a reading challenge that celebrates literacy and a love for books. 🎨✨Reading and Creativity on Full Display at the CMS Annual Literacy and Art Show! ✨🎨 On April 15th, CMS proudly hosted its Annual Literacy and Art Show, showcasing the incredible talent and hard work of our students and providing free books to our families! As families entered, they were allowed to pick new books to be read at home. In the gym, paintings, sculptures, and all forms artwork from the entire year were beautifully displayed for families and the community to enjoy. 🖌️🎭 Adding to the evening's magic, the CMS Band delivered a fantastic performance, filling the space with music and energy! 🎶👏 Thank you to everyone who came out and supported our young artists and musicians — it was a truly amazing turnout! From packing and delivering non-perishable cake kits to the Evans County Christian Food Bank, to spreading Easter cheer with treat bags and a special visit from the Easter Bunny for CES Pre-K students, our students are learning the true meaning of service.
