Our young engineers put key Georgia K-5 Science & Engineering Practices into action:
• Structure & Function: Discovering how materials affect tower stability (Crosscutting Concept: Structure & Function).
• Properties of Matter: Learning how small pieces assemble to build larger structures (Standard S2P1).
• Constraints & Budgeting: Managing "STEM bucks" to buy materials within a set budget.

Making Weather in 6th Grade Science! ☀️
Our 6th graders brought the water cycle to life! Using beakers, warm water, and ice bags, students built hands-on models to watch evaporation, condensation, and precipitation happen in real time.
Students then labeled their models and explained the science behind each step .
By observing, diagramming, and explaining how thermal energy drives the cycle, our students are mastering Georgia Standard of Excellence S6E3.b hands-on! 💧🔬

After reading I Wanna Iguana, Mrs. Lewis’s 3rd grade students stepped into the role of persuasive writers! The story follows a boy who writes letters to his parents trying to convince them to let him have a pet iguana. 🦎📖

Evans County Schools is proud to partner with Sandy Hook Promise in implementing the Say Something Anonymous Reporting System—an important tool designed to help keep our students, staff, and schools safe.
We encourage students, parents, staff, and community members: If you see or hear something concerning, say something.
The Say Something system allows individuals to anonymously report safety concerns, including:
- Threats of violence or harm toward others
- Concerns that someone may harm themselves
- Bullying, harassment, or intimidation
- Weapons or other dangerous activity
- Other behaviors or situations that may threaten the safety of a student or our schools
Reports can be made 24 hours a day, 7 days a week through the Say Something mobile app, by calling 1-844-5-SAYNOW (1-844-572-9669), or online at SaySomething.net. Students are also encouraged to Say Something to a trusted adult in their school.
Every report matters. You never know when speaking up could prevent a tragedy or help connect someone with the support they need.
Look for warning signs. Take them seriously. Say something.
