Tiger Soccer celebrated Teacher Appreciation on Tuesday in the game vs Mcintosh County Academy. Seniors selected teachers that not only inspire them to win on the field, but push them to win in the classroom as well to be outstanding STUDENT Athletes. On March 18th, our High School High Tech (HSHT) students traveled to Baxley, GA, for a deep dive into the world of public safety at the Law Enforcement/First Responders Career Expo!
This wasn’t just a career fair—it was an eye-opening look at the massive variety of paths available in the field. Our students explored everything from:

🥕 Growing Knowledge from the Ground Up! 🌱
Students in Ms. Kearney’s elementary Ag class recently enjoyed a hands-on learning experience all about root vegetables! We were excited to welcome Ms. Ashleigh Geurin, UGA Extension Agent, who shared with our K–5 students how root vegetables are grown and harvested.
Students also learned about the important nutritional benefits of these foods, including vitamin A, fiber, potassium, and antioxidants—helping them understand how healthy choices support their bodies.
To bring the lesson to life, students read the book Tops and Bottoms and even got to taste-test baby carrots as a healthy snack! 🥕

It was a perfect day of fresh air, sunshine, and a lot of laughs. We are so proud of these students for their hard work and consistency—it clearly pays off!

It’s more than just driving a tractor; it’s about understanding the "why" behind the "how." Our students have been studying the different types of chemical applications available and the safety standards required for each. From nozzle calibration to chemical selection, these Tigers are gaining the technical expertise needed for the modern workforce.
Seeing our students take ownership of this new equipment and apply their knowledge in a real-world base is what makes our CTAE programs so powerful. Great job, Tigers! 🐯💪
