A few of our incredible K-3 and ELL teachers participated in the first of a three part series of training with RESA to help support the implementation of House Bill 538. These teachers dove into the ABCs of literacy and phonics! Students are reading two experts’ differing opinions about homework and finding the best evidence to support ideas from the text in their writing. Every month, Mrs. Kelly's 2nd grade class will select individuals within CES who could use some encouragement, support, or a simple 'thank you.' As a unified class effort, they will present each person with a heartfelt 'bucket of sunshine!' Recently, they celebrated Miss Cheryl for her dedicated contributions along the 2nd-grade hallway and throughout CES. A small gesture of gratitude from Mrs. Kelly's 2nd-grade class.
