🎄✨ Santa's little helpers in Ms. Cowart and Ms. Christin's Pre-K class have been busy spreading holiday magic! 🦌🍪 Our creative bunch whipped up some special reindeer food and crafted adorable gingerbread ornaments. 🌟✨ Tonight, don't forget to sprinkle that magical reindeer food together under the starlit sky. 🌌🦌 The little ones will be over the moon knowing they're helping guide Santa's sleigh to our homes. Wishing everyone a night filled with wonder, joy, and the sweet anticipation of Christmas morning! 🎅🎄✨ #ReadySetGrow #ChristmasEveMagic

Our 6th-grade innovators are diving into the electrifying world of science using Makey Makey circuit boards! 💡🔌 Armed with creativity and common materials, they embarked on a thrilling journey to test conductivity, explore conductors, and unravel the mysteries of insulators. 🍏🍊🥔 Before sparks flew, our students flexed their planning muscles, crafting detailed experiments with only the materials at hand. ✏️📐 Each budding scientist illustrated their unique vision, paving the way for a hands-on exploration of electricity. ⚙️🖌️ The excitement soared as apples, oranges, and potatoes took center stage, earning their spot on the list of conductors! 🌐🍎🍊🥔 The "Aha!" moment came when our students realized they, too, conduct electricity – especially when accidentally making contact with each other! ⚡🤝 But the journey didn't end there! After their electrifying experiments, our scientists documented their findings, detailing how their plans unfolded, succeeded, or sparked a few surprises! 📝✨ Hands-on, minds buzzing—this is science in action! 🚀💭 #4Cs #RoarANDSoar

Important Information
Every purchase from a local business contributes directly to our community's economic vitality. It's a powerful way to keep money circulating within our neighborhoods, supporting local jobs and fostering a thriving local economy. Consider supporting our FLEX Businesses this holiday season! They are run by some pretty amazing students, who also happen to be your family, friends, and neighbors! Choosing to support them creates a network of relationships that goes beyond a simple transaction. It's about fostering connections and building a stronger, more resilient community. Remember, every choice we make as consumers shapes the community we live in. Let's make a difference, one local purchase at a time! #TheDEN

It’s not the holidays without Claxton Fruitcake! This dessert is famous worldwide, and one of our very own Work-Based Learning students helps get it to tables and shelves both far and near. Here senior Will Parker is pictured on the job at the Claxton Fruitcake Bakery with just a few of the many products that people from all over will enjoy this holiday season. Will is carrying on the family tradition that was begun by his great-grandfather, Albert Parker, in the mid 1940’s. Will’s supervisor says that he’s learning the business and has quickly become a key player in his department. You make CHS proud, Will!” #TheDEN

📚✨ Exciting Guest Readers at Claxton Elementary School! ✨📚 Yesterday was a magical day at Claxton Elementary School as we had two fantastic guest readers spreading holiday joy through the gift of storytelling! 🌟 Mrs. Dorcas Moore, Board Member, delighted Ms. Angela Fallin's 1st-grade class with reading, "The Night Before Christmas", that brought smiles to little faces. 📖🎁 Thank you, Mrs. Moore, for sharing your love of literature with our young learners! 🎅🏽📚 Mr. Paul Phillips brought festive cheer to his wife's 2nd-grade class with "The Gingerbread Girl" that captivated young hearts and minds. 🎄📖 What a wonderful way to celebrate the season of giving! A big thank you to both Mrs. Dorcas Moore and Mr. Paul Phillips for taking the time to inspire and entertain our students. Thanks to the Claxton Fire Department, Coach McLeans's 8th grade health classes were able to learn the proper technique and usage of fire extinguishers. They put out real fires in a controlled environment to help them understand how extinguishers work in emergency situations. We hope that these students never have to use a fire extinguisher, but we want them to know how to do it correctly if the need ever arises! #RoarANDSoar
