📚✨ Pre-K Adventures at the Media Center! ✨📚
Mrs. Cowart and Mrs. Herrington's Pre-K classes enjoyed their visits to the media center last week. They had the opportunity to listen to stories, and they also picked out some fantastic books to bring back to their classroom. Here's to the magic of story time and the joy of book checkouts! 📚❤️

Students in Ms. Johnson's Art classes are learning how to be art critics. Students had to look at other students' artwork and critique how the artwork looked and made them feel. The students discussed with each other the different things that they liked and disliked about the artwork. The students did not critique their own class's artwork; they critiqued another class's artwork. This gave our students a chance to practice giving constructive criticism in a kind way. #4Cs #RoarANDSoar

What a delicious meal at Claxton Middle/High School! Students were treated to juicy baked barbecue chicken, homemade cornbread, baked beans, side salad, and honeydew melon paired with a carton of cold milk.
Our students are provided nutritionally balanced meals that meet federal guidelines at no cost to families!

What do you grab when you are craving something sweet? The Culinary Arts Production class has been experimenting with the sale of different treats in the school store. So far the favorite has been the homemade chocolate chip cookie, and the least liked dessert was a brownie with walnuts. In the near future, they hope to offer a decorated sugar cookie.

7th graders in Mrs. Sapp's math classes showed great COLLABORATION and COMMUNICATION skills as they worked in groups to measure a scale drawing of the basketball court.. This hands-on project enabled them to think CRITICALLY about how to accurately apply proportional math to a real-world setting.
Activities like this help prepare our students for college, career, and community! So proud of the teamwork and effort shown by our 7th grade math students today! #roarANDsoar

The 7 Mindsets focus this week is EMBRACE CREATIVITY. At CMS, we want our students to see things differently, so that they can do things differently, so that they can one day make a difference. We want our tigers to SOAR like eagles above adversity.
