Mr. Gay's High School High Tech (HSHT) students participated in a Lunch & Learn. They were treated to Domino's pizza while guests from Job Training Unlimited (JTU) shared the various programs they offer to the public. The 3 programs discussed were: 1) On-The-Job Training Program 2) Individual Training Account Program 3) Youth Program
Many of the students completed the application on site that day. Mr. Gay has 5 dual enrollment students who will be enrolled at Ogeechee Technical College next Fall. They were pleasantly surprised to discover that, through the Youth Program, JTU will pay them $12 a day for attending and can assist in purchasing their needed supplies for their courses. Graduating Seniors who plan to enter the workforce right after graduation, also found certain resources that will be of value to them that JTU.

Students in Mrs. Cason’s first-grade class have been learning how to use non-standard units of measurement. They put their skills to the test during a race-around-the-room competition where they worked to accurately complete a measurement card! They had to use things such as counting cubes, paper clips, cheerios, and pretzels to find and compare the lengths of objects. #CES #ExcellenceLeadershipFamily
