🌱 First Grade Agriculture Adventures🌱 Ms. Sydney Stuart’s first grade agriculture class has been exploring the fascinating world of agriculture. The students began by breaking down the concept, focusing on the basics of planting, watering, and harvesting. They investigated each action, then applied their knowledge by matching pictures to the correct terms. To cap off the week, the young learners planted their own seeds, and they’ll be eagerly watching them grow in the weeks to come! 🌿 #ReadySetGrow #FirstGradeFun

🎨✨ Celebrating Our Uniqueness in Mrs. Herrington and Ms. Courtney’s Class ✨🎨 This week, Mrs. Herrington and Ms. Courtney’s class focused on an “All About Me” theme, where we discovered that while we all look different and have different interests, we are all friends! The students had a blast drawing self-portraits, discussing our senses, creating rainbows representing our favorite things, and bringing in special items from home to share with the class. We’re having so much fun at school, celebrating what makes each of us unique! 🌈👫 #ReadySetGrow

Please help ECCSS recognize and celebrate these highlights from our ECCSS Board of Education (BOE) meeting this month! Mrs. Julie Howard, Mrs. Angie Snyder, Dr. Paul Mizell, and Mr. Mark Stroud shared Short Term Action Plans for the first quarter for CES, CMS, CHS, and The Academy during the ECCSS BOE meeting. Also, Dr. Waters presented Ms. Howard, Ms. Snyder, and Dr. Mizell with special recognition for school- and district- level Beta honors. Each campus was presented with National District of Distinction plaques, and ECCSS was presented with a special award also. This national recognition speaks highly of ECCSS’s commitment to academic excellence, leadership development, and service involvement, and it also illustrates our dedication to preparing students to be college, career, and community ready! Also, the updated school calendar was approved. This calendar includes updates for Tropical Storm Debby make-up days. Also, based on feedback from our strategic plan Action Building Teams, two parent conference days have been added to the calendar. Follow directions below to view the updated calendar, and stay tuned for more information regarding the parent conference days.
