Building Friendships in Pre-K! 🌟🤝 Mrs. Herrington & Ms. Courtney’s Pre-K class had a wonderful week discussing the importance of friendship. 🚀🔬 Bringing Computer Science to Life in Physical Science! 🔬🚀 We're excited to announce that our 8th grade science classes are integrating computer science principles into the physical science curriculum! 🧪💻 Students in Mrs. Kelsey Stephens' classes are diving into Python programming using TI-Nspire calculators and TI-Rovers. 🤖✨ They've mastered converting Python commands into physical distances measured in centimeters, and now they're taking it a step further! Students are mapping out a route from Claxton Middle School to a chosen location in Claxton, measuring distance and time along the way. 📍⏱️ Then, they program their TI-Rover to follow this route using Google Maps! 🗺️🏎️ But that's not all—they'll also use their collected data to create a distance-time graph for deeper analysis and interpretation. 📊🔍 This is hands-on learning at its best! 🌟 #STEMEducation #PythonProgramming #FutureScientists #HandsOnLearning

The students began by breaking down the concept, focusing on the basics of planting, watering, and harvesting. They investigated each action, then applied their knowledge by matching pictures to the correct terms.
