👋📚 The energy in Mrs. Myers's science class is off the charts as students dive into the exciting realm of waves! 🌊✨ Our 6th-graders have been rocking hands-on labs, using slinkies to feel the vibes of transverse and longitudinal waves. 🔄🔵
But that's not all! 🎺🎻 Students were challenged to create homemade drums and experience firsthand how energy affects longitudinal waves, like the beats in our favorite tunes. 🎵🔊 It's a wave of learning, and we're enthusiastically riding it! 🏄♀️🏄♂️
Our classroom is buzzing with curiosity and excitement—ready for the next wave of knowledge! 🌊🚀 #WavesInScience #HandsOnLearning 📖🔬 #RoarANDSoar

Claxton Middle School is proud to announce that it has been announced as a 2023-2024 National Beta School of Merit. The school earned this recognition by offering National Beta to all eligible grades on their campus.
The National School of Merit award is given to honor a club’s dedication and commitment to academic excellence. To achieve this prestigious honor, a school must include members from all eligible grade levels in their Beta club. This year, only 29% of Beta Clubs across the country received this award.
In a congratulatory letter to the school, Bobby Hart, CEO said “This prestigious honor is a true indication of your dedication to academic excellence and commitment to celebrating your students' achievements. Offering National Beta to all eligible grades provides your school experiences in leadership development and service involvement which strengthen and build your students. Thank you for your continued support of National Beta and commitment to developing future leaders!”
WHAT IS NATIONAL BETA?
Let Us Lead by Serving Others
As the largest independent, non-profit, educational youth organization in America, National Beta is dedicated to leading by serving others. Our four pillars are the perfect summation of the core of National Beta. The Beta community recognizes high academic ACHIEVEMENT, rewards and nurtures worthy CHARACTER, fosters LEADERSHIP skills, and encourages SERVICE to others.
Being a BETA means being a part of a community of leaders who are positively impacting the world.
