CMS art students in Ms. Johnson's classes are working on their "Tiny Doors" project. Even Sergeant McKinnon joined in on the fun! This unit is meant to help students learn more about small businesses in our community. Students must learn about the business and create a door to represent it. #4Cs #RoarANDSoar

At CHS, our Work-Based Learning Program provides a wide variety of opportunities. You may remember that some of our work-based student participants actually work on one of our campuses and are employed by the Evans County BOE. Senior Marissa Thornton is employed by our CHS cafeteria and enjoys the flexibility of having a job that's located just doors down from her academic classes. If you have seen the mouth-watering, nutritious lunches that our cafeterias provide, you have seen the product. Now you can see one of the smiling faces at work to produce those great meals! We are grateful for our wonderful School Nutrition Program, and we are very proud of Marissa! #TheDEN #LifeSkills #WBL

Exciting times in Mrs. Kelly's 2nd-grade class at Claxton Elementary School! 📚 Students are diving into their Super Story during the Shared Reading lesson, uncovering the /ar/ words together. The collaboration is fantastic, with ELL students working side by side with their peers. Witnessing them learn from each other is truly heartwarming.
