The CHS softball game that was initially scheduled for Thursday, September 14th at Wheeler County has been rescheduled for Friday, September 15 at Wheeler County beginning at 5:30PM.
The CMS football game this week (vs. Tattnall County at home) has been moved from Thursday, September 14 to Wednesday, September 13 at 5:00 pm.
The game was rescheduled in an effort to accommodate our parents who have children who play middle school football and varsity football.

Coach Oglesby & Mrs. Hendrix's High School Transition students delved into the world of computer science! One hands-on activity had students step into the role of programmer or "computer." Brian Croft's fire fighting students spent time in the gym completing a 9-11 Memorial Stair Climb. While wearing fire gear, the students climbed 110 flights of stairs in memory of the 343 firefighters that never made it home after climbing the 110 stories of the Twin Towers in an attempt to save lives. #NeverForget #TheDen

During the teacher work day on September 1st, CES math teachers participated in an Illustrative Mathematics training. Teachers learned how to use an asset-based approach in analyzing student work, use multiple questioning strategies, and have students participate in centers can promote progress towards learning goals.

This year's class will be inducted on Saturday, October 7, 2023, from 10:00 AM - 11:30 AM in the Claxton Middle/High School cafetorium.
Each spring, ECCSS accepts nominations for the CHS Athletic Hall of Fame. We have a deserving class of stellar Tigers we’re thrilled to welcome this year.

Our brilliant 6th graders in Mrs. Myers's Science classes are turning their classroom into a hub of innovation! 🌟 They're taking their learning about speed, distance, and time to a whole new level with Spheros and computer programming. 💻🤖
🏎️💨 Imagine this: Students designing and coding their own Sphero programs to calculate the speed of their mini-robotic vehicles and then watching them whiz around the classroom. 🤯🚗
📏🕐 They're not stopping there! They're also using their programming skills to determine distances traveled and time taken by their Spheros. The classroom is buzzing with energy as they put their knowledge into ACTION! 📏⏳

A few of our incredible K-3 and ELL teachers participated in the first of a three part series of training with RESA to help support the implementation of House Bill 538. These teachers dove into the ABCs of literacy and phonics!
