One, two, three--that's right--THREE classes collaborated today to help one another meet instructional goals. Firefighting recruits practiced risk analysis and physical and mental preparedness. Team Sports welcomed the opportunity to play these uniformed recruits in a friendly game of dodge ball, and Audio-Video students embraced the challenge of capturing all of the "just right moments" of the game on camera. We are proud of these students and their teachers!

Parents and Guardians, if your child is exhibiting symptoms of Covid, then please get them tested and keep them home until you get the results. Absences will be excused and they can make up the work. Schools are doing all that they can to sanitize, promote social distancing, and enforce masks. We must have your cooperation if we are to keep schools open. Today marks day 9 in school. We anticipated that this week and early next week would be our indicator for viral spread given the incubation period of 10 days for Covid-19. To date our rate of positive reported cases has remained below 1% and our quarantined cases have remained below 2%. Considering these are similar numbers to last spring, that is excellent, especially considering we remain in a high transition area.

Do you get frustrated with cords and just throw them in a corner or closet? Well, students in Audio-Video can show you how to roll your cords so that they store easily and remain knot free. Believe it or not, there is a method to this madness! Check out the students' hands as they properly prepare the cords for storage. Mr. Hallman puts the students' work to the test: Throw the cord in a straight line. No knot equals success! #theden
