📚✨ Celebrating Georgia READS with Book Recommendations✨📚

Makenna Hamner helped us celebrate Georgia READS Day by sharing one of her favorite reads during the CMS morning announcements! 🎤🐯💛🖤

Her enthusiasm for reading was the perfect way to inspire her classmates to dive into a good book and join in on the Georgia Reads spirit. 🌟📖

🎉🐯 On Saturday, September 20th, 47 amazing Pre-K through 5th grade students joined the CHS football cheerleaders for the Annual Mini Cheer Camp! 💛🖤

OurTiger cubs learned the pre-game routine they’ll perform for our community at the Friday, September 26th football game against Bryan County. 🙌 They also discovered how to stunt, mastered what it means to show attention, and most importantly—how to bring spirit! 🎶✨

This energetic group of Tiger cubs truly understands what it means to Restore the Roar! 🐯🔥

📚🤖 In Mrs. Selph’s and Mrs. Cook’s College Readiness class, we’re taking on CRM.GSR.5.4 — using formulas to calculate the volume and surface area of 3D shapes like spheres, prisms, cylinders, pyramids, and cones.

But we’re not just crunching numbers… ✏️➗ We’re building robots out of 3D shapes 🤖✨ and proving the math behind them through their surface area and volume!

Hannah is proudly participating in the Work Based Learning (WBL) program at Claxton High School / The DEN. 🐯✨ She is gaining valuable experience at the Evans County Christian Learning Center (ECCLC), where religion courses are offered as electives to both Claxton Middle and Claxton High students.

In her role, Hannah assists and supports Dr. Lynn Gardner and Mr. Andrew Strickland, the dedicated teachers at the ECCLC. 📚✝️

🎶📚 Georgia Reads Day at CMS! 📚🎶

Three of our talented 8th graders helped us kick Georgia Reads Day off in style! Earl Anderson, Torre’yona Carter, and Ty’ron Frederick volunteered to rap Llama Llama over the intercom to get the day started with energy and fun. 🦙🎤

Afterward, they headed to the media center where they recorded their very first music video! 🎬✨

A big shout out to these students for sharing their creativity and showing us all how to use our talents to encourage others to great things. 💛🖤

Our Tigers joined students across the state for Georgia Reads Day, tuning in to watch Malcolm Mitchell, The Georgia Council on Literacy, and GPB. 🏈✨ They enjoyed storytime, reading activities in classrooms, and media center fun with Ms. Hunter. 💛🐯

We’re also celebrating BIG success in our Read-A-Thon—our students have logged over 53,000 minutes of reading since last Monday! 🤩 Keep it up, Tigers!
