Mr. Hall's Ag Science students have been working to get the new workshop decked out with all the needed equipment. Here are pictures of them putting together a hydraulic press and engine lift, as well as building storage units for various tools.

Students in Mr. Sapp's STEM class learned the basics of Glide, an online service that lets you make mobile apps from Google Spreadsheets. Daniel Rivera and Dustin Hightower from First District RESA taught the students how to start with a base template and how to plug the data into the mobile app from a spreadsheet. They customized their app and published it, and then learned how to add it to their phones or send to others.



CHS High School High Tech students visited the Chatham County Police Department and Hilton Garden Inn to learn about careers within the organizations.

The Bryan/Evans Retired Educators Association presented Ms. Mallori Rush, a paraprofessional at Claxton Middle School, with an Academic Scholarship to continue her studies to become a middle grades teacher upon completion of college! Congrats Ms. Rush!




Mrs. Whitfield's students are learning how to become producers of technology by creating presentations that showcase facts learned about light and sound.




We need community readers to help us celebrate "Read Across America Week". Each day we are looking for community members to come to the Media Center and read a book to a class. The schedule is shown below.
Military members - past and present - we would LOVE to have you come read on Monday as we celebrate our FREEDOM to Read. No better readers, to have on this day, than the brave men and women who have helped maintain our freedoms by serving our country.

National School Counseling Week February 7–11, 2022
THANK YOU to Evans County Charter School System counselors for being actively engaged in helping students examine their abilities, strengths, interests and talents; for working in a partnership with parents as they encounter the challenges of raising children in today’s world; for focusing on positive ways to enhance students’ academic, career and social/emotional development; and working with teachers and other educators to provide an educational system where students can realize their potential and set healthy, realistic and optimistic aspirations for themselves.

Congratulations to Mrs. Cindy Hart and her Culinary Arts Team! Not only did these individuals host the FCCLA Baking and Pastry and Culinary Competitions for two regions, Senior Ashton Benton, Junior Dale Kennison, and Sophomore Olivia Mejia took first place in the Culinary Competition. Their winning dish featured Claxton Poultry fried chicken, macaroni and cheese, fresh turnips, and hoe cakes. Check out pictures from today's events!




Mrs. Cowart, Ms. Miyon and Ms. Taylor's class enjoyed Prek's Community Parade on Friday. What a fun way to end the week of learning about our community.

Students in Ms. Adams's 6th Grade Career Awareness class heard from Madison Wimberly, Assistant Director of Admissions and Recruitment and Dual Enrollment Operations at East Georgia State College. Ms. Wimberly spoke to students about the importance of school, choosing a career they truly care about, course offerings at East Georgia State College, and how students can attend college while still in high school. Ms. Wimberly and Ms. Adams are both alumni of East Georgia State College. GO BOBCATS!
