On Dec. 9th at 9 a.m. we'll be discussing how to support our children when our routine changes during the holiday break. Dr. Lorrie Spencer, will be on the CMS/CHS campus to share strategies and answer parent questions about routines.


On Thursday, Dec. 9 at 5pm, we're 'Unwrapping" Accommodations in the IEP. We'll be discussing the who, what , why, how and when of this part of the IEP.

Game Results: The Claxton Lady Tigers defeated LCHS by a score of 61-47.
Game Story: Claxton’s Lady Tigers traveled to Long County to take on a non-region opponent on Friday night. The Tigers faced foul trouble requiring the bench to play big minutes throughout the second and third quarters. Long County narrowed the Claxton lead to just 3 points before Claxton went on a run in the 4th quarter to seal the 61-47 victory.

Mrs. Nobles' 5th grade gifted resource classroom used the Collaboratory to explore electricity and circuits this week. They used the snap circuit sets to power a fan, make music and light a light.




Mrs. Shaul’s third graders presented their reader’s theater scripts after practicing at home and school all week. Thanks to all the families who helped them rehearse at home. They did great!

On Thursday, November 18th, a signing ceremony and reception was held for our 2026 REACH Scholarship recipients: Yamil Romero-Binuelo, Athziri Nava-Velazquez, Roel Gonzalez, Kamryn Carter, and Giovanni Salazar-Gudino. Each student signed a pledge to maintain good grades, good behavior, and good attendance, and upon graduation in 2026, they will receive a $10,000 scholarship to a Georgia College or University or Technical College. We are very proud of you! We would also like to thank The Strickland Foundation for making this scholarship opportunity possible.


The CMS book fair will be held after Thanksgiving Break. The students will visit on the following schedule:

Wednesday, Dec. 1st-Bradley's 6th grade ELA classes
