Students in Ms. Adams's 6th Grade Career Awareness class are learning how important communication and collaboration is - especially in the workplace. Students worked with a partner to complete a maze. One partner completed the maze with their eyes closed while the other partner gave them directions on completing the maze.
Student Ayden Brewton said, "Teamwork is important in the workplace because you will always have to work with somebody. You will almost never be working alone and you will always be communicating and collaborating with somebody. Like in a business place you will have to talk to your boss, or if you're the boss, you have to speak to your employees. If someone is unable to work with others they might not be as successful as those that can work with others."

Mrs. Shaul’s 3rd graders enjoyed a day in nature at Oatland Island Wildlife Center. They learned about different animal habitats and how animals survive in their habitats.

Who wants to take a trip? Mr. Bradley's 6th Grade ELA Classes created Informational Brochures about European countries they are learning about in Ms. Jackson's Social Studies Class. These students are enjoying applying skills they are learning in multiple classes at the same time.

Business and Community Members:
We need YOU to come and share a book during Read Across America week. We have several openings still available. (it will take 30 minutes or less) The students LOVE having guest readers so please come support reading and our students at Claxton Elementary the week of Feb. 28 - March 4. You may call the school @ 739-1427 or email jprice@evanscountyschools.org. Thank you in advance!

Happy 2's Day or 'Twosday'!!!!! Today is extra special! It is a palindrome, because it reads the same forward and backward. However, what makes it special is the date has all twos and it is Tuesday 😂 Don't worry, because TWOmorrow will be special as well.
Today's date is also an ambigram as it can be read the same upside down.. 22 February 2022 is written as 22/02/2022 numerically. See image 2 below and flip your screen over.
Hopefully, this post doesn't have you too-too confused.
