✨ On Monday, November 11, 2024, CHS held a heartfelt Veterans Day Program to honor our veterans and their sacrifices. 🙏❤️
The morning began with a special breakfast, hosted for local veterans and prepared by Mrs. Cindy Hart and her talented culinary arts students. 🍽️👨🍳👩🍳
Dr. Mizell opened the program with welcoming remarks, and Kaydence Snellgrove greeted our honored guests. Brianna Pittman led the invocation, bringing the crowd together in reflection. 🙌
Hannah Hendrix shared the history of “The Star-Spangled Banner,” followed by a beautiful performance by the CHS band. Miya Herrington led everyone in the Pledge of Allegiance, and the CHS chorus moved us with “American Tears.” 🎶💧
Alex Carbone shared a brief history of Veterans Day, setting the stage for our guest speaker, Msgt Travis Crosby, USAF, introduced by Coach Lanier. 🎖️ The CHS band then played “American Heroes: Salute to Armed Forces,” with each branch’s song honoring those who served.
The program closed with final remarks from Dr. Mizell, wrapping up a memorable event honoring our veterans. Thank you to all who served and those who made this day possible! ❤️💙
