Miss Grimes is proud of her 4th period Beginning Brass students, and with good reason!
During Wednesday's sectional practice, students explored how to play different partials on their instruments, while learning how to control airflow and other elements to produce a strong, clean tone. Not only were they engaged and answering questions—they were already taking the next steps to apply what they learned in real time.

Today in Health class, Miss Wetherington's students explored the importance of nonverbal communication. 💬✨
Students worked in groups to create and perform skits that showcased different forms of nonverbal cues. Afterward, the class came together to discuss what they observed — highlighting both effective and ineffective examples of body language, facial expressions, and more.
This hands-on learning not only sparked creativity but also deepened students' understanding of how we communicate without words.

In Mr. Burney's music class, students are learning all about the percussion family! 🪘✨ The lesson introduces which instruments belong to the percussion family, and to make it extra fun, each student gets a bucket and sticks to play the rhythms Mr. Burney gives. 🪣🥢
This hands-on activity is always a highlight that students love about music! 💛🎼
On Friday, August 30, Mrs. Cowart and Ms. Alyshia’s class celebrated perfect attendance with a special ice cream party! 🍨✨ Each day that all students and staff were present, the class earned a letter. Once they spelled out ATTENDANCE, they unlocked their sweet reward! 🅰️🎊
The students voted, and their treat of choice was an ice cream party. 🍧😋 They were so excited and enjoyed every bite! The class is already looking forward to their next celebration. 🎈👏

On Friday, September 5, 2025, Evans County Pre-K celebrated Grandparents Day with a special breakfast honoring the important role grandparents and special friends play in our students’ lives. 👵👴✨
After spending the week learning about family and the unique roles each person fills, this event was the perfect way to bring those lessons to life. Families enjoyed a delicious breakfast of grits, eggs, and biscuits 🍳🥓🍽️, shared pictures 📸, and most importantly, created meaningful conversations and lasting memories 💕.
The Pre-K teachers and staff would like to sincerely thank each grandparent and special guest who joined us and made the morning so special. 🙏 We also extend heartfelt appreciation to our amazing cafeteria team 👩🍳👨🍳 for preparing and serving the wonderful meal that helped make the day a success. 🌟
