🎭 Learning Through Puppets! 🧠💛 Ms. Hendrix and Mr. Allen’s Pre-K class participated in a special Zoom call with Bright from the Start and other Pre-K classes to watch a fun and engaging puppet show about feelings! Students learned new techniques to stay calm when feeling upset, stressed, or sad, and they even had the chance to interact and answer questions throughout the show. Not only did we have FIVE individual events where our girls were crowned STATE CHAMPS, but our 2025 Lady Tiger Track TEAM OFFICIALLY just won the GHSA 1A, Division 2 TEAM STATE CHAMPIONSHIP!!! 🎉🏆 This is the first time in recorded GHSA history that our Claxton Lady Tigers have won the team state championship in track. 🍎❤️ Celebrating Our Amazing Teachers at CES! ✨📚 For Teacher Appreciation Week, Claxton Elementary School teachers and teacher assistants were honored for their incredible hard work and dedication throughout the year. With the help of our Sunshine Committee and the generous support of local businesses and community partners, staff were treated to a week full of appreciation and delicious meals! 🌮 Monday kicked off with a festive Cinco de Mayo lunch from Pichos Taco Truck, sponsored by A&J Roofing and Claxton First Church. Pastor Mike Lyons and church members added a sweet touch by handing out brownies for dessert. 🍔 Tuesday, Dairy Queen of Claxton (led by manager Amy McManama) served up fan favorites like cheeseburgers, hot dogs, and chicken fingers—something for everyone! 🥪 Wednesday brought a generous lunch of subs, chips, and cookies from Paul Thigpen Automotive Group, with reps Leigh Anderson and Kaysie Smith delivering smiles and sandwiches. 🍕 Thursday, Rehoboth Missionary Baptist Church and Pastor Gary Few provided Hunt Brothers Pizza, while Too Broke Girls Boutique (Harley Rush & Brittany Wilson) created a pop-up shopping experience with personalized goodies for our staff. 🍽️ Friday wrapped up with a hearty Southern meal of chopped Boston butt, green beans, rolls, and cake, provided by Kevin & Danny Sowell of Independent Auto Brokers, Bubba Hice of Independent Service Center, and Mike’s Meats.
