🚀🔬 Bringing Computer Science to Life in Physical Science! 🔬🚀 We're excited to announce that our 8th grade science classes are integrating computer science principles into the physical science curriculum! 🧪💻 Students in Mrs. Kelsey Stephens' classes are diving into Python programming using TI-Nspire calculators and TI-Rovers. 🤖✨ They've mastered converting Python commands into physical distances measured in centimeters, and now they're taking it a step further! Students are mapping out a route from Claxton Middle School to a chosen location in Claxton, measuring distance and time along the way. 📍⏱️ Then, they program their TI-Rover to follow this route using Google Maps! 🗺️🏎️ But that's not all—they'll also use their collected data to create a distance-time graph for deeper analysis and interpretation. 📊🔍 This is hands-on learning at its best! 🌟 #STEMEducation #PythonProgramming #FutureScientists #HandsOnLearning

🌱 First Grade Agriculture Adventures🌱
Ms. Sydney Stuart’s first grade agriculture class has been exploring the fascinating world of agriculture. The students began by breaking down the concept, focusing on the basics of planting, watering, and harvesting. They investigated each action, then applied their knowledge by matching pictures to the correct terms. To cap off the week, the young learners planted their own seeds, and they’ll be eagerly watching them grow in the weeks to come! 🌿

This week, Mrs. Herrington and Ms. Courtney’s class focused on an “All About Me” theme, where we discovered that while we all look different and have different interests, we are all friends! The students had a blast drawing self-portraits, discussing our senses, creating rainbows representing our favorite things, and bringing in special items from home to share with the class.
