Please help us spread the word to our families and our community! ECCSS will be closed Monday, August 5, Tuesday, August 6, and Wednesday, August 7 due to Tropical Storm Debby. Due to the potential impact of Tropical Storm Debby, including historic rainfall, strong winds, and possible power outages, all ECCSS schools will be closed on Monday, August 5, Tuesday, August 6, and Wednesday, August 7, to students and staff. Below is a summary of decisions which have been made thus far: ---All activities, sports, meetings, and other school-sponsored events that were scheduled for Monday, August 5-Wednesday, August 7, are postponed; as these events are rescheduled, updates can be found on our website by using our calendar tab: (https://www.evans.k12.ga.us/page/calendars-and-events) ---The Board of Education meeting that was scheduled for Monday, August 5, has been tentatively rescheduled to Monday, August 12. ---We plan to give an update by Wednesday, August 7, at 2:00 PM. Safety first as we prepare to welcome our Tigers back to school! on Monday!! Please keep the following important traffic pattern information in mind: -ALL parent traffic for CES, CMS, and CHS should enter from Hendrix Street and Tiger Town Trail. -At CES, please make sure you are in the drop-off line by 7:50AM. If you arrive later, you will need to go to the front of the school to walk your student in. -Only left turns will be allowed from Hendrix Street into CHS (SRO present), Tiger Trail (SRO present), and CMS drop-off/ pick-up areas (SRO present). -CMS/CHS traffic should exit onto Hendrix Street (right turn only). -CES traffic should ENTER pick-up lines from Hendrix Street, proceed through the pick-up lines at CES, and EXIT onto Barnes Street. Please see yellow highlights beginning at Hendrix Street in the diagram below. CES traffic should proceed to the rear of CES and loop around to allow students to exit on the right-side, directly onto the sidewalk and under cover of canopies. -Parent traffic should exit the CES campus using the access road onto Barnes Street and travel up to West Smith or West Liberty to access Hwy 301 at a red light. Tiger football fans, our CHS Tiger football team will travel to Bryan County on Friday, August 2nd to participate in the Bryan County Football Jamboree. Bryan County is hosting CHS, Beach High School, and Butler High School. Bryan County will play Butler in the first game of the night, followed by Claxton v Butler, Bryan v Beach, and lastly, Claxton v Beach. The first game starts at 7:00PM. Tickets must be purchased online at https://gofan.co/event/1543091?schoolId=GA23126. Concession stands will accept cash and cards for purchases. Visitor parking will be off Camellia Dr/Hwy 119 directly in front of the tennis courts.

ECCSS is holding its 6th annual CHS Hall of Fame induction ceremony on Saturday, October 5th, at 9:00 AM, at the CMS/CHS cafetorium. Each year, ECCSS accepts nominations for the CHS Athletic Hall of Fame. This gives us a chance to recognize and celebrate the outstanding athletes, coaches, teams, and contributors who have helped build the Tiger Nation over the years.
