Tiger Nation, thanks for helping us have a great first day! Our students, staff, and families helped get our long-awaited 24-25 school year off to a great beginning!
Starting any school year often comes with transportation challenges, and Tropical Storm Debby and running our Alternate Bus Routes due to the ongoing impacts of Tropical Storm Debby have added to those challenges. We know these adjustments to transportation haven't been easy, and we truly appreciate your patience, support, and assistance as we navigate these challenges!
We've made adjustments to help our Tigers navigate these challenges, and we ask for our parents and families to assist as they're able by following these important transportation tips: https://tinyurl.com/58vfjktn
THANK YOU for all you have done and continue to do on behalf of our Tigers!

One humble hero at CHS is Mr. Donnie Bates! Each day this man offers students a warm smile, kind hello, and a clean, inviting space to learn. Today was no exception! After welcoming students back to school during breakfast, Bates inspired second year Firefighting students by sharing his journey to becoming a firefighter. Thank you, Mr. Bates, for loving our school and community! #TheDEN #collegecareercommunity

Calling all CMS 8th graders (AKA, the CHS Class of 2029)!
The REACH application has been uploaded to the 8th Grade Class of 2029 Google Classroom. The REACH scholarship provides up to $10,000 that can be used to attend any HOPE eligible college in Georgia. To be eligible, students need to complete and submit the application by August 30th. This is an excellent opportunity for students to get financial assistance for college costs. Please do not wait until the last minute to begin this, as the application has several parts and takes a while to complete. Every 8th grade student should take advantage of this wonderful opportunity. We can't wait to find out who the REACH Scholars for the Class of 2029 will be!
The application can be downloaded from the Claxton Middle School webpage under the Parent Resources section.
