In Ms. Adams' 8th grade English Language Arts classes, students are embarking on an exciting journey of learning through Self-Organized Learning Environments (SOLE) research. This innovative approach to education empowers students to take charge of their learning and explore topics that genuinely intrigue them. SOLE research involves students posing questions, conducting research, and sharing their findings with peers, all under the guidance of their teacher. The current research question is: "Is social media more helpful or harmful to teens?" This style of instructions helps prepare our students to be life-long learners. #RoarANDSoar

☀️📚☕ Spreading Sunshine at Claxton Elementary! 📚☕☀️
Our thoughtful 2nd graders in Mrs. Kelly's class at Claxton Elementary wanted to shine a little extra light on our Media Specialist, Ms. Hunter, and Mrs. Sapp. They put together a heartwarming "Sunshine Basket" as a token of their appreciation for the knowledge, guidance, and endless stories shared in the media center. 📖💛 With sweet treats, cheerful notes, and a dash of sunshine, they've truly brightened the day for our dedicated media specialists. 🌞🎁 Thank you, Mrs. Kelly's class, for showing us all how a little appreciation can go a long way! Your kindness is the sunshine that brightens our days!

FLEX is an innovative program designed to empower local youth with foundational leadership and entrepreneurship skills. It's a hands-on experience that equips our young talents with the knowledge, tools, and mindset needed to thrive in the ever-evolving world of business and leadership.
We are currently in round one of the competition. In this round, student entrepreneurs form teams, referred to as companies, and submit a business plan application to be judged by a panel of local business leaders.

🔥🚒🐾 Sparks of Fire Safety Education Ignite at Claxton PreK! 🔥🚒🐾
On Thursday, October 26, PreK had some very special guests. The Claxton Fire Department along with Sparky came to speak with the students about fire safety. The Fire Chief was hands-on and demonstrated Stop, Drop & Roll! The students were happy to spray the water hose and shake hands with a real firefighter. Sparky did not disappoint either! He gave high fives and assisted with the water hose! 🚒🐾🔥
