CMS band students are doing an amazing job in sectionals ! 👏 They’re following their checklists, staying on task, and showing wonderful teamwork. We are seeing some great leaders emerging among them — so proud of you all! 💛

Students in Mrs. Fennell’s class are mastering their addition skills by learning how to make a 10 to solve problems within 20! 🔢💡
These young learners are building strong number sense and showing that math can be both fun and powerful! 💛🐯 #ClaxtonElementary #TigerPride #FirstGradeMath #GrowingGreatMinds

🚨 Our Transition students took a hands-on approach to learning about campus security, emphasizing observation, communication, and safety awareness. After mastering patrol procedures and key vocabulary, they conducted real-time "security patrols," checking doors, identifying hazards, and marking safe areas on their maps. 🧭
The best part? They got to share their findings and ask questions directly to School Resource Officer Ron Smith and CHS assistant principal Randy Cooper! This activity underscored the importance of responsibility, teamwork, and keeping our school safe. Great job, security team! 👍

Our 6th graders had an amazing trip to JA BizTown in Savannah at Georgia Southern University! JA BizTown, a program by Junior Achievement, gives students the opportunity to experience the working world firsthand — running businesses, managing finances, and exploring careers in a simulated town setting. 🏦💰
Students put into practice everything they’ve been learning in career class through fun, hands-on activities that taught teamwork, leadership, and financial responsibility. We’re so proud of their hard work and enthusiasm! 🙌✨

This week we celebrated Mrs. Snyder with lots of love, gifts, and hugs! 💕 Our students surprised her with a beautiful door hanger that represents our school mission for the year, along with a card filled with their signatures and sweet messages. We’re so thankful for all she does for our school! 💫
