🏦💡 CMS 7th Graders Take on JA Finance Park® at Georgia Southern University! 📊✨
On Tuesday, January 14th, our CMS 7th graders had an exciting and educational experience at Georgia Southern University's Savannah Campus, where they participated in the JA Finance Park® program! 🎉 They took a deep dive into personal financial planning and career exploration, applying real-world skills that will benefit them for a lifetime.
Through an educator-led curriculum and an interactive budgeting simulation, students explored essential financial concepts like income, expenses, savings, and credit. With the help of volunteers, they put their knowledge to the test by creating personalized budgets based on real-life scenarios.
By the end of the program, students were able to:
✅ Identify personal interests and career paths
✅ Understand the risks and rewards of saving and investing
✅ Learn the importance of taxes and insurance
✅ Develop and manage a successful budget
✅ Evaluate the pros and cons of using credit and debit
We're so proud of our students for taking this important step in becoming financially savvy future leaders! 🌟
