The National Junior Beta Club is an academic honor society for students in grades 4-8, focusing on achievement, character, leadership, and service. Junior Beta Club recognizes and celebrates high academic performance, while also fostering personal development, developing leadership, and serving the community. The Junior Beta motto is “Let us lead by serving others.”
During the ceremony, our new members will be formally recognized and presented with their membership certificates and pins. This is a special milestone for our students as they take on the responsibility of upholding the values of Junior Beta and committing themselves to leadership and service within both our school and community.
We would be honored by your presence as we celebrate the accomplishments of these outstanding students and welcome them into the CMS Junior Beta family.

Our creative 3rd graders worked in groups to design and build light-up movie posters using LittleBits technology! ⚡️💛
They combined teamwork, creativity, and engineering to make their posters truly light up the room! 🌟

This project gave students the chance to take ownership of their learning, strengthen communication & teamwork, and engage deeply with content they’ll see again on benchmarks. 💡🙌
They taught each other:
🏛 Legislative Branch – Bicameral legislature & how a bill becomes a law
🇺🇸 Executive Branch – Roles of the president & the line of succession
⚖️ Judicial Branch – Court jurisdiction & judicial activism vs. restraint
We’re so proud of the creativity, leadership, and collaboration our students demonstrated! 🐾💛🖤

Mrs. Kelly’s class chose Miss Janice as their Sunshine Basket recipient for September! 🌟 The students wanted to thank her for all she does for the kindergarten hall and for helping keep their classroom clean. 🧹📚
She is truly a ray of sunshine around our school and always takes time to engage with students. 🌼💛🐯

Recently, Mr. Gregg Hendrix, president of the Evans County Farm Bureau, presented FFA Advisor Chase Turner and CHS Principal Dr. Paul Mizell with a generous $1000 donation 💵🙌 to help fund FFA programs and activities. 🌱📚✨
We are so grateful for the continued support from our community—it truly makes a difference for our students! 💪💛🖤
