Did you know that the demand for Computer Science careers is anticipated to grow 22% by 2030? Did you know that only 22% of Computer Scientists are women? Members of the Girls Who Code organization on Georgia Tech campus visited Claxton Middle School to educate a group of 40 girls about computer science and STEM. Students learned how STEM shapes society, and how certain disciplines differ and specialize in their contributions to society. The GT Girl Who Code members provided an introductory presentation on Python and did a hands-on activity with CMS students.
