📣 A Special Week for Claxton Middle School 📣
This is a special week as we honor our Claxton Middle School Basketball teams, along with our 8th grade Basketball, Cheer, and Band students who will be moving on to Claxton High School next year.

❄️ Snowy Fun in Kindergarten! ❄️
While staying with Mrs. Jennifer Kelly’s Kindergarten class during enrichment time due to Beacon testing, students still had a blast! They enjoyed playing in “snow” made from shaving cream, writing letters, and drawing pictures. Lots of laughter, learning, and sharing with friends made it a fun and memorable experience! 😊✏️

💖 Valentine’s Day Dance – 4th & 5th Grade Students! 💃🕺

Parents and Guardians, we are excited to invite our 4th and 5th grade students to a fun and festive Valentine’s Day Dance!

• $10 entry fee per student (pay the night of the dance—please do not send money to the office)

The DEN Book Club is throwing it back to a childhood favorite—Where the Red Fern Grows! While many remember the tears and the deep love between a boy and his dogs, this story is also rich with grit. We’re excited to announce the upcoming launch of My Ride K-12, a powerful student transportation app by Tyler Technologies that helps families stay connected and informed about their child’s school bus — in real time!

📅 Launch Timeline
Early January: Claxton Elementary School
Late January: Claxton Middle & High Schools

With My Ride K-12, parents and guardians can:
✔️ Track buses in real time — see exact locations and estimated arrival times
✔️ Receive instant notifications about delays, route changes, or important transportation updates
✔️ Access a parent portal to view pick-up/drop-off events and manage student profiles
✔️ Share access with another parent or guardian quickly and securely

How to Get Started
1. Download the app: Search “My Ride K-12” in the Apple App Store or Google Play Store
OR Register Online using the detailed instructions in the link below.

2. Find your district within the app. You can search for “Evans County” or ”ECSS”.
3. Register or log in with a unique user email and password.
4. Add your student using the unique student ID. Be on the lookout for a text from the transportation department with your child’s ID.
5. Access anytime via the app or at myridek12.tylerapp.com.
