Do you know about the “behind the scenes” operation of a church? CHS Junior Conner Miller does! She works in the office at First Baptist Church in Claxton, and she assists with everything from bulletin production to mailings. Through her job placement at FBC, Conner has expanded her knowledge of office skills, and she has developed invaluable professional relationships. Post high school, Conner aspires to join the Air Force and ultimately become an officer. Her acceptance into the upcoming summer seminar for the Air Force Academy puts her dream into motion! They dove into the fascinating realm of moon phases, hemispheres, and how we experience seasons. They examined how Earth rotates on its axis, all while integrating computer science into their science content! 💻🔬 This hands-on approach not only enhances problem-solving skills and computational thinking 🧠💡 but also fosters a deeper understanding of complex scientific concepts! 🚀

CMS SPORTS UPDATE...Due to field conditions at North Tattnall, the BASEBALL game scheduled for today will be moved to tomorrow at 4 o'clock at NTMS.

We just can’t say it enough, the Work-Based Learning Program at CHS is equally beneficial for the community and our students. In this photo, senior Allen Smith was caught on the job at our local NAPA Auto Parts. Allen has enjoyed learning about the automotive parts business, and he has built a great relationship with his work team and the clientele. After graduation, he aspires to pursue a position at Gulfstream with the intention of working in avionics. We are confident that his real-world work experience will prove invaluable for his future!
