🕵️‍♀️📚 Discovering Descriptive Words in Mrs. Phillips’ 2nd Grade Class! Students in Mrs. Phillips' 2nd grade class had a blast being "Descriptive Detectives" as they hunted for descriptive words! 🧐📖 This exciting activity was part of their lesson on understanding an author's purpose, guided by GSU student teacher, Iyanna Gibbs. The students were fully engaged and loved exploring language in a fun, interactive way. Great job, detectives! 👏🕵️‍♂️ #ReadySetGrow #DescriptiveDetectives

Recently CHS hosted the Annual Claxton-Evans Chamber of Commerce banquet. For this special event, many capable and talented people transformed the high school cafetorium into a lovely dining hall. One of those individuals was senior Lainey Phillips who offered her talent in floral arranging to help create centerpieces for the various tables. In the past months, Lainey’s talent has been linked with experience through her Work-Based Learning placement with The Flower Girl in Statesboro. Her supervisor tells us that Lainey has blossomed in her role at the floral shop, and she has gained experience in every aspect of the business. This foundation has been invaluable for the future Lainey has planned in floristry! CHS can’t wait to see how your career unfolds. We are so proud of you! #TheDEN #TigersBuildingSuccess
