The Miss CMS and Miss CHS Pageants will be held on Saturday, February 24, 2024 at 6:30 pm in the CMS/CHS cafetorium. This year's theme is "Pink Girl Era". Information packets can be picked up in the front office. The deadline to enter is Friday, January 12, 2024. Please see Nurse Hall if you have any questions.
Students in Ms. Rush's classes are putting the pieces together to create a great argumentative essay!
Students were given well-written argumentative essay examples, but the essays were cut apart! Students read the claims provided and found the best argument to support claims. Students are learning that facts are necessary to support an argument, and opinions don't really matter if there isn't evidence to back it up! #RoarANDSoar

Schedule Update for CHS Flag Football: Tuesday, November 14, 2023, the CHS Flag Football team will travel to SEB to play Swainsboro at 5:00PM. If CHS wins, they will play SEB at 6:15PM.
The Academy will host their local School Governance Team meeting on Wednesday, November 15, at 1:30 PM, at The Academy. We will meet in the kitchen. All are invited and welcome to attend!

On Friday, November 10th, Claxton Elementary School hosted a Special Olympics event! 🎉 The festivities kicked off with a spirited parade through the main hall, warmly welcoming our incredible athletes. 🎊👏
Once in the gym, the real magic unfolded as our athletes showcased their talents and determination in a variety of activities. From friendly competitions to displays of sportsmanship, every moment was a testament to the spirit of inclusion and camaraderie. 🏅🤝

Thanks so much to our Tiger Ambassadors and other students who warmly welcomed our visiting Veterans! Our Tigers enjoyed chatting with our guests, and our students were proud to accompany our Veterans throughout the ceremony!
Our award-winning Tiger Band played special tribute to our guests, and our student speakers shared informative and inspirational messages about Veterans Day. HUGE THANKS to CHS's own, Captain Chuck Alderman, for delivering a powerful message to all in attendance!
