📚🌟 Exciting Professional Development at Claxton Elementary! 🌟📚
This week, we were thrilled to welcome back Karen Cangemi from Pioneer Valley Books for another enriching professional development session at Claxton Elementary! Our K-2 teachers dove into personalizing learning experiences for their students using the Digital Reader Platform. 🖥️✨
On the Digital Reader, students embark on Reading Adventures, engaging in word study activities, receiving book introductions, and reading high-quality texts that bolster the skills learned in both whole and small group settings. 📖🌈
Our teachers got hands-on training on creating student groups and tailoring book assignments to meet individual learning needs. A huge leap forward in personalizing education for our young Tiger readers!

Today was a much anticipated day for CHS Band members! Our musicians participated in LGPE (Large Group Performance Evaluation) at Georgia Southern University. In total, participants played four concert pieces--three prepared in advance and one played just six minutes after seeing it for the first time. The performances were beautiful, and tremendous growth was observed. Way to play, Tigers!
